I am proud to announce my novel, Beached, won the Royal Palm Literary Award for both the published mystery category and the overall published book of the year!
I am beyond honored to be recognized by the Florida Writers Association. The judging is an 8-step process, and the 157 judges who served on the various panels were a mix of literary agents, publishers, journalists, editors, librarians, bestselling and award-winning authors, professors, university English department heads and teachers. I am grateful to the many volunteers that pull together to create this wonderful award.
I’m also excited to announce that the American Library Association with the collaboration of Sisters In Crime has named Adrift an October Book Club selection of the month.
Seriously, I’m giddy right now.
Probably the most exciting news I have to share is that I just sent my agent a copy of my latest manuscript for review. It is a stand-alone suspense story–it’s darker and grittier, and I’m really excited about it. More on that later. There will be rounds of editing to do before it goes anywhere, but it is a milestone in every authors life when they pass their story along to the next step.
Until next time!
